Approximately, two thirds of executive teams worry that organizations will be able to execute on their mission-critical priorities.  Among the challenges that leaders must overcome are unprecedented waves of disruption to customary ways of doing work. Leaders at any level and the consultants that support them need to figure out how succeed in our whitewater business environment.  

 

Almost 84% of leaders anticipate disruption to what they do and how they do it and most think their organizations will struggle to execute.  The explosive growth in technological innovation, increases globalization, big demographic shifts and regulatory changes are driving turbulence and uncertainty both inside and outside of organizations.  As a CHRO from a global financial services firm recently said, “traditional ways of leading are not working.”  Priorities, timelines, budgets and staffing are constantly shifting.”   

 

In this presentation, Tom Rose, author of the recent book, Managing at the Leading Edge: Navigating and Piloting Strategy at Critical Moments, will

  • Set the context and outline activities that create success despite the turbulence that leaders and consultants face.
  • Leverage insights from research.
  • Highlight case studies that illustrate best practices.  

Participants will walk away with actionable practices they can use to drive success in today’s business environment.

 

Our Presenter

Tom Rose is a management psychologist, executive coach and human resources executive with more than 25 years of experience as a consultant/executive coach and in human resource leadership.  Tom leverages these outside-inside experiences to help leaders at every level and the teams on which they collaborate achieve results that matter.  


He has been CHRO and leader of talent planning & analytics and talent management /leadership development teams in organizations like Reebok, Syracuse University, and Sun Life Financial.  Dr. Rose has worked in the Financial Services, High Technology, Consumer Products, Higher Education, Health Care and Pharma industries.  


His 2017 book Managing at the Leading Edge with McGraw-Hill is based on extensive survey and interview research documenting the leadership behaviors and practices that drive success amid the disruption that defines today’s and will increasingly define tomorrow’s business environment.
