Our Consult-Con 2019 Discussion Leaders
Michael E. Egan, Ph.D., CMC, is the Consult-Con 2019 Program Chair. Michael led the team that created our fantastic program that includes five keynote speakers, nine breakout sessions and a special breakout session track that utilizes Open Space Technology, designed to let conference attendees create their own programs. Michael has attended many IMC USA conferences. He is a Past President of the IMC Dallas/Ft. Worth chapter and currently serves on the IMC USA Board of Directors as the Governance Chair.
Michael is a Senior Vice President with the Dallas Marketing Group, which he joined in 1997 with eighteen years’ experience in launching and establishing new markets for businesses and products. He has been active in many market sectors and several industries, and has broad experience in marketing, market research, consulting, strategic planning, sales, operations and product development, particularly in healthcare, medical devices and technology. Prior to joining The Dallas Marketing Group, Michael was the founder and senior partner of The Egan Consulting Partnership, a consulting and market research business provided strategic analysis of market opportunities, emphasizing niche expansion and growth.
Jennifer (Jen) Beever CMCis a Past President of IMC SoCal, served on IMC USA’s Conference committee for six years and currently serves as VP of Marketing of the national Board of Directors. She led the Reason-for-Being (RFB) re-brand sprint team and launched the roll out of the brand on IMC USA’s website. This fall she plans to launch a much-needed Social Media Sprint Team to improve IMC USA's communications on social channels.
Jen is a marketing consultant who drives B2B Marketing Results for her clients in technology, manufacturing and professional service firms. Jen received Hubspot’s prestigious, inaugural Inbound Marketing Certified Professional with Honors Distinction and her B2B Marketing Traction blog has been listed as a “Top 20 Must-Read B2B Marketing Blog.” She taught Marketing Entrepreneurial Ventures at Pepperdine’s Graduate Graziadio School of Business and Management and Ethics in Marketing and Advertising and the capstone Strategic Marketing course at UCLA Extension’s Marketing Certificate Program. Jen presented the 2017 C2M Live! programHow To Be a Conference Commando and will share more of her success tips in this 2019 session.
Our monthly events are not presentations in the traditional sense – they are conversations, facilitated discussions, with participants sharing their knowledge and experience.
Our goal is to:
- Grow the competence of the participating consultants through the information and insights gained during each session.
- Focus on issues clients worry about.
- Engender community, learning, mentoring and thoughtful exchanges, and nurture relationships that lead to collaboration and business growth.
• We use Zoom.us technology. Up to 100 individuals can participate on screen. One can also phone in.
• Sessions are one hour long and typically begin at 2 pm EDT but we go on the air one half hour earlier. This provides attendees the opportunity to get to know each other… and as stated earlier to engender the community of peer-spirit IMC is committed to promoting.
