Growing Your Practice with a Book
Are you a thought leader? Is there a book inside you waiting to come out?
You've had some success stories in your consulting and corporate life. You've developed your own special way of enabling clients to do extraordinary things. Perhaps you have even articulated your ideas in a speech or blog. Still, you believe many people don't yet know about you. You may feel that you are a too well-kept secret.
How to bridge the gap? A book might be just what you need to enhance your credibility, grow your practice and leave a legacy.
Jon Paul CMC, a consultant who has been working for a client in the cannabis industry, will lead our discussion this month. He currently is writing a book, "Confessions of a Cannabis CFO - How Cannabis CEO's Can Survive the Wild World of Weed Without Having a Marijuana Meltdown."
He will be joined by California-based Henry DeVries, who recently chaired two IMC National Conferences and is CEO (Chief Encouragement Officer) of Indie Books International. Henry and his team are helping Jon put together his book. Henry has also founded Indie Friends and Family, a collaborative community of speakers and writers of which Jon is a participating member
Jon and Henry will describe their experience together and the way that Henry helps Jon and other authors. We will then discuss how the process can work and deal with specific issues that you may want to address.
Might your experience make a good book? Not sure? Think about the following:
- What in your experience or in what you do might interest others?
- How would you go about writing it?
- Should you get outside help?
- How would you use the book to help market your practice?
Whether you are an author or thinking of becoming one, come share your ideas as we keep connected together during this unique stay at home period. See you online Friday!
