How Government Affects Business
Companies develop strategies and products based on economic, market and competitive conditions. Clients often fail to recognize or evaluate the impact of government oversight and regulation on their plans. At our meeting this month we will determine how to help them identify these issues and find the resources to address them.
Organizations have primarily focused their attention on the products and/or or services they provide and have often not paid attention to the regulations and ordinances which were being established. Our discussion this Friday will address the impact of Federal regulations on organizations and the need for companies to gain insight into these regulations in order to avoid the disruption and penalties which can occur from not being in compliance. We will also address the expansion of regulations from the Federal Level, to the State - and even County and City - level.
The discussion will point out the need to have knowledgeable resources that can identify and address these issues, and direct companies to operate their businesses in a manner that will be in compliance with the laws and regulations being issued. One specific area we will address is the changing dynamics in the workforce and the applicant marketplace.
Our discussion leader will be Ed Baker, President of Human Resource Management. He has a strong background and experience in all aspects of managing human resources.
