Join us on Thursday, August 22, 2019, at 4:00 pm EDT for a webinar featuring IMC USA’s newest Chapter Marketing Toolkit, version 3.0, and get ready to get inspired and motivated for your next Chapter program year!

Our purpose is to give chapter leadership and members tips and ideas for successful program planning and marketing as well as outreach marketing to create awareness for your IMC USA chapter, attract attendees to your events and convert potential members. 

The information will be presented menu-style, so each chapter can choose what makes sense for their specific needs, budget, and volunteer resources.


Suggestion: Consider inviting many or even all of your chapter members. You may find some are either curious or even “chomping at the bit” to get more involved and get more value from their membership in IMC USA.


Background: IMC USA created a new Chapter Marketing Toolkit in 2017, and in 2018 it was updated with addenda including marketing personas, a sample Chapter Performance Assessment, eLetters, social media profiles and more. 


Now, in 2019, we’ve added the following to the Toolkit:

  1. Meetings-in-a-Box PPT’s and program descriptions
  2. How-to include Academy classes in your program line-up
  3. How-to record hybrid virtual and in-person meetings
  4. A list of member attributes to expand upon the Personas in v. 2.0
  5. Reason for Being statement, description and brief history
  6. Logo use and specifications
  7. More sample emails
  8. More sample Chapter Pages
  9. Sample ads to promote your Members and Chapter Directories
  10. How to leverage Social Link on the IMC website and other social media to benefit your chapter
  11. Suggested Technology Stack for Chapters with prices


Copies of the Chapter Marketing Toolkit will be available in advance, so attendees can download and review the document before the webinar. Chapters are invited to ask questions in advance and make suggestions for additional Toolkit information and sections. About Our Speaker, Jennifer Beever


Jennifer (Jen) Beever CMC has been a member of IMC USA since 1998 and a CMC since 2001. She has served as Marketing Chair, Programs Chair, Area Breakfast Coordinator (four different times and locations in Los Angeles), is a Past President of IMC SoCal and continues to serve on the board in various capacities. She served on the Confab Conference committee from 2007-8 to 2011 and  currently serves as VP of Marketing of the national Board of Directors, led the Reason-for-Being (RFB) sprint team for IMC USA’s re-brand and launched the roll out of the new brand on IMC USA’s website. Next she's planning the launch of a much-needed Social Media Sprint Team this fall to improve IMC USA's communications on social channels.

 

Jen is a marketing consultant who drives B2B Marketing Results for her clients in technology, manufacturing and professional service firms. She served as President for the SoCal Chapter of the Association for Strategic Planning and served two separate terms on ASP’s National board. She taught Marketing Entrepreneurial Ventures at Pepperdine’s Graduate Graziadio School of Business and Management and Ethics in Marketing and Advertising and the capstone Strategic Marketing course at UCLA Extension’s Marketing Certificate Program. Jen is one of the 5% who received Hubspot’s prestigious, inaugural Inbound Marketing Certified Professional with Honors Distinction, and her B2B Marketing Traction blog has been listed as a “Top 20 Must-Read B2B Marketing Blog.”


This Boot Camp will be an interactive webinar with the creation of select chapter marketing pieces. This session will begin at 4:00 pm EDT with the opportunity to sign on one half hour earlier to network with other participants. We expect the session to last one hour but could run longer. We will use Zoom.us technology. While the ability to phone in will be available, the session will be much more effective by using Zoom.


The Boot Camp is specifically designed for:

  • Chapter Presidents
  • Chapter Membership Chairs
  • Chapter Marketing/Communication Chairs
  • Future Chapter Leaders, and
  • Chapter and At-Large Volunteers interested in helping with IMC's Marketing effort.


We hope that all chapter leaders and interested members can join us on August 22 for this important Boot Camp. The session will be recorded and archived.
