About LAX-Area Breakfast Meetings...

The LAX-Area Breakfast meetings occur normally on the 1st Friday of each month from 7:30 - 9:00 a.m.

Certification in one's chosen field tells clients that a professional has learned his or her craft, and brings a tested and acknowleged level of expertise.

The Certified Management Consultant (CMC®) designation is awarded to a select group of consultants (only 10,000 worldwide) who have demonstrated that they produce substantive results, adhere to the IMC USA canon of ethics, and have met the global standards of technical competence and professional conduct. Hiring a Certified Management Consultant means that the project will benefit from a consultant who demonstrates:

  • a history of results and excellent performance
  • experience in the field and a reference network for challenging client problems
  • adherence to the highest ethical standards of the profession

IMC So Cal President Jerry Savin, Barb Mather and the CMC Special Interest Group (SIG) will present an agenda that will include:

  • the value of certification; why become certified?
  • requirements and qualifications
  • the certification process, including the various tracks

 About Barb Mather:

Ms. Mather's diverse corporate and management experience served as the foundation for the launch of her management consultant practice in 2002. Working with Fortune 500 companies and subsidiaries (including Disney, Toyota, Los Angeles Times, Eastman Kodak, and the California Association of Realtors), her cross-industry projects include organizational change management programs and project management for such change initiatives as start-up business strategies, restructurings, outsourcing, corporate sales incentive programs and policies, and large-scale systems implementations.

Ms. Mather is in her final year Ph.D. student attending Fielding Graduate Institute, Santa Barbara, CA. She obtained an M.B.A. from Philadelphia's Drexel University, an M.A. from Fielding, and a B.S. in Business Administration from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
