Advanced Presentation/Public Speaking/Media Skills…

How to "wow” an audience....
every time
By Tom Kennedy

Meetings, panels, keynotes, media/video; How to build and deliver a great presentation every time

This course contributes to the requirements for
CMC certification with the
Core Competency focus area of
Communications Effectiveness, Advanced level
$50 for Members and $120 for Non-Members
As consultants, we write for credibility, we speak for cash. Ultimately, as in any other business, communication skills are the key to our success. From an "elevator pitch” to meeting prospective clients to presenting material and even conference or keynote speeches, the way we frame and communicate our message/business/skills/benefits is the single most important part of not just successful consulting, but attracting and satisfying our clients.

Session One
Focus on your audience, a great presentation is about them, not you
Frame a succinct message, meaningful to them
How the message will roll out, developing main themes

Preparing for Q&A

Make the message memorable using tools, visual aids, stories and quotations that bring your message to life and create a meaningful relationship with your audience

Session Two
Rehearsal and delivery
What to practice and how
Using video
Making the "tools” come alive
What to do about nervousness (adrenalin)
Apply what you’ve learned to all communications
Meetings (interpersonal) to media skills

Practicing Q&A

Tom Kennedy, CMC and an Associated Press award winning broadcaster, coaches consultants and other senior executives in presentation, public speaking and media skills. Since 1992 he has helped aspiring, new and established consultants frame and focus their consulting "story”, their benefit to the client, their value proposition and fee discussions and he has coached senior executives at companies like, IBM, Roche, Millipore, Bosch, Iron Mountain, Briggs & Stratton, Pitney Bowes, Suffolk Construction and many more. He believes that, "Leadership is getting them to want to follow.” and that, "The ultimate success of what you say depends entirely on how well you say it.”

His on-air TV/radio career included positions in all US regions and his communications consulting has included client presentation challenges in most parts of the world giving Tom a unique perspective on assisting with US regional and global communications strategies.
