Is Authoring and Publishing a Book one of Your Immediate Goals???

A workshop by John F. Harnish, prolific author and publishing futurist It is an accepted fact that a published book you have written will greatly enhance your professional stature as an acknowledged expert in your field. The Digital Age of book publishing makes it possible for anyone who has written a book to have it published and in national distribution in a very short time for a minimal fee, or at absolutely no cost to the author. The book publishing industry is in a turbulent period of change, and this one-hour workshop is your opportunity to learn how you can benefit professionally and profit financially from the publication of a book that you have written, and can maintain complete control over every aspect. Best of all, you don’t need an agent or even a traditional publisher; and you, the author owns all the rights which entitles you to the lion’s share of the profits.

Publishing your book today can truly be a one, two, three process - John will explain the ways you will harvest rewards from a book in your future, and respond to your questions about publishing your book.

Dinner Meeting Presentation "Writing Papers, Articles and Blogs: A Great Business Development Tool”

Have you ever been part of a business conversation in which someone refers to an academic or professional paper on your area of expertise, and thought, "I can contribute on that topic too”? · Or, seen an article in a business magazine by a competitor and thought, "I really need to get some articles published”? · Or, been part of a professional organization and heard a potential speaker described: "She writes a blog on that topic and it’s well regarded. We should book her to present to our group”?

Marketing consultant Carl Friesen, CMC, who used papers, articles and blogs to build his own practice as well as those of his clients, will discuss how each of these profile-building tools has a role to play in helping consultants get noticed, stand out as recognized experts, and demonstrate a wider range of services.

· How one of the biggest benefits to a paper isn’t for the readers – but the consultant writing it

· Ways to get a paper read by the right people

· Developing an article idea that shows your expertise – without sounding like a sales pitch · How (and why) to get the editor’s buy-in to your article idea, before writing the article

· Common mistakes in writing blogs and how to avoid them

· How these three marketing tools work together to help you get noticed and stand out
