About Patrick Russell

Patrick has worked in the software industry for 30 years, designing and developing innovative software products, real-time industrial controllers, enterprise systems, securities trading systems, banking applications, and social networking analytics and metrics. He has been a successful entrepreneur as founder of Cambridge Software Group, and a Director of Technology for an international consulting firm, Renaissance Worldwide. One of his specialties is process automation, which offers tremendous opportunities for streamlining interconnected activities, while ensuring effective process control, governance, and compliance. He has done many process design/automation projects since 1993.

His consulting clients include household names in diverse sectors and industries, such as Pitney Bowes; Reuters; ASCAP; Fidelity Investments; Gillette; Colgate-Palmolive; Sandoz Pharmaceuticals; Pfizer; OSRAM Sylvania; Kia Motors; Avon; Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare; Chase Bank; City of Boston; and CMGI. He has been a major creative force behind a number of respected software products, including Lotus Freelance Graphics and LotusWorks, Tally/Novell’s Census, Centameter, and Veranda product lines, and Cambridge Software Group’s Formula Editor, and Application Outliner for Lotus Notes®.
