Persuasive Presentations by Consultants

Straight Talk for Consultants on Talking Straight
With Tracey Virtue, Speaking Coach

The ability to present ideas orally is essential to win people's respect, support and approval. Good speaking skills can be one of a consultant's most effective tools to build reputation, sell new clients, and have consulting recommendations accepted.

To learn essential speaking skills, join us at our IMC OC breakfast meeting on March 14 as Tracey Virtue, whose passion is persuasive speaking, shares some of the secrets of successful formal and informal presentations. Learn to persuade your prospects to hire you, and your clients to take recommended actions and refer you. Topics will include:

  • How to use speaking skills to bring in repeat business and referrals
  • The structure of effective presentations to large groups
  • The principles of effective communications to small groups.
  • How to hook your audience and have them wanting more
  • When and how to bring in data
  • How to close strong to vault your client into action
All are welcome, not just IMC members. If you have to sell your services, convince others to do more with less, and get clients to implement your recommendations, then don't miss our March 14 meeting. Bring your friends. This will also be a great opportunity to network with your fellow Southern California consultants.

About Tracey Virtue, Entrepreneur and Speaking Coach

Tracey Virtue's passion is the art of speaking. She has developed many presentations on how to deliver persuasive presentations, and she shares her passion by teaching and coaching on this subject -- inspiring people to overcome their fears, to stand confidently in addressing groups, and to speak convincingly with decision makes when it really matters. In her day job, she serves as Director, Operations Strategy at AutoMD, a start-up division of US AutoParts Network, which helps consumers get a fair deal on auto repairs. No stranger to start-ups, she began with a start-up company that built expert systems, advanced to a leadership role with an information technology consulting start-up, started her own firm, started a division of a publicly traded staffing firm, then evolved into her current role with AutoMD.
