Better Consulting Through Coaching

Management consultants generate powerful strategic and tactical client solutions by combining expert competencies. These include business acumen, technical knowledge, creative and analytical thinking, project and risk management, interpersonal skills, teaching and training of others, change management and practice management, all performed according to an ethical code of conduct.

How proficient are you in all of the IMC core consulting competencies listed above? Specifically, have you mastered (1) the interpersonal skills that elicit the best in working relations with clients and colleagues; (2) creative, analytical thinking that creates possibilities from new perspectives and ideas; or (3) change management skills that shift paradigms for client organizations who implement your ideas?

Our Thursday March 13 monthly program will explore the power of coaching competencies, and their potential in enhancing your proficiency in IMC’s core consulting competencies.

In this session, we will discuss the skills and competencies fundamental to professional coaching that also help you perform as a more competent, complete and effective consultant. Together, we will:
  • Consider the elements that differentiate coaching from consulting
  • Discuss key coaching concepts and techniques to improve your consulting process and client impact
  • Experience real-time "laser” coaching around real-life issues
  • Explore the business advantages to combining coaching and management consulting capabilities.
Join us in a sure-to-be fun and interesting evening of coaching dialogue, demonstrations, and discoveries with two leading executive coaches from the International Coach Federation’s (ICF) largest city chapter: Carol Goldsmith, PCC, President of the ICF Metro DC Chapter and Chair of the 2014 Capital Coaches Conference; and Cynthia Miller, ACC, President of Purposeful Solutions, LLC.

A unique opportunity for you...

Have a burning business issue? Changes in your firm, with a colleague, or in a client relationship? Or a challenge that would benefit from a different perspective?

On Thursday March 13, place your name in the "Laser Coaching Jar” for real-time coaching by Carol in a live learning session that will provide insights for everyone in attendance. Bring your real life questions, and leave with answers you didn’t know you already possessed.
