 Shelby Danks


Shelby Danks, M.S., is Program Manager of Journey to Excellence at Texas Health Resources (THR). Shelby collaborates with senior leaders to co-manage THR's organizational assessment process (Baldrige Excellence Framework), oversees system-wide evaluation projects associated with strategic initiatives, and is lead product owner for knowledge management tools and approaches. She also serves as internal consultant to leadership teams responsible for addressing opportunities for improvement throughout the system.

Shelby serves on the Panel of Judges and Board of Examiners for the Quality Texas Foundation's Texas Award for Performance Excellence, and on the Board of Examiners for the National Baldrige Performance Excellence Program. She is a Ph.D. candidate in performance improvement at the University of North Texas. Her research interests include innovation, entrepreneurship, and emerging measures of organizational culture.


Daniel Gandarilla


Daniel Gandarilla is Director of Talent and Team Development at Texas Health Resources University. Passionate about learning and development, Daniel brings a Deweyan perspective, shaped through his leadership experiences in the K-12 education sector, and work with non-profit organizations, and small business ventures. He has led and implemented multiple large-scale, organization-wide change initiatives.

Daniel is a Fellow of the Advisory Board Company and a Six Sigma Greenbelt. He is currently pursuing an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership at Texas Christian University. In his free time, Daniel enjoys quality family time his wife Juliana and daughter Zayla.
