The CmCC SIG is proud to sponsor:
How to Improve the Effectiveness of Your Marketing and Networking Skills
By Joel Berman, Esq.

As part of a new initiative, our Chapter’s Special Interest Groups will organize programs for the monthly dinner meetings. The CmCC SIG, Consultants meet Consultants and Clients, is delighted to announce that Joel Berman will kick off IMC's fall program.

Joel is a unusual attorney. After years of starts and (mostly) stops, he realized he needed a better approach to marketing. To improve the effectiveness of his marketing efforts, Joel hired a business coach to help him correct his errant ways. In the process, Joel became the consummate networking professional. What he learned as he worked to grow his practice is applicable to consultants as well. The significant thread for Joel was building an effective network of professionals who know him and want to refer work to him. This is a superb opportunity to hear first hand from someone who set out to intentionally improve his marketing and networking skills and did.
Joel J. Berman is a partner in the law firm of Jeffer, Mangels, Butler & Marmaro LLP, a 140-attorney law firm based in Century City. Joel has been practicing business law for 30 years. He graduated from Harvard College and Harvard Law School. Joel has been named as a "Super Lawyer" in 2004 and 2006-2009 by Law & Politics and Los Angeles Magazines. In 2008, he was named a Fellow of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers.
An L.A. native, Joel returned to L.A. to practice law after his schooling. Like other service professionals, Joel wanted to bring in business. To do this, he embarked on a journey to become an effective marketeer. At our meeting, Joel will share his growth process and marketing techniques. We think you will find his presentation valuable. His approach is easy to understand and implement, whether you are a solo practitioner or part of a larger organization. Imagine enjoying marketing.
About the CmCC Special Interest Group
If this program inspires you to improve your networking, consider joining IMC's CmCC SIG. Past CMCC events in which synergistic consultants were matched up to network one-on-one were so successful for our members, that we have decided to create a monthly CMCC SIG designed for consultants who want to more regularly focus on generating referrals.
