Share |
Linda Howard is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and Project Management Professional (PMP). Her firm, Howard Consulting, LLC, specializes in helping organizations develop and implement stakeholder outreach and strategic communications strategies on large-scale system change projects.

Linda has over 25 years of experience in organization management, business process reengineering, facilitation, strategic planning, agency outreach and communication, project management, systems integration, performance management, and acquisition support.  She has led full project lifecycle project management activities in commercial, state, and federal government sectors. Before starting her own firm, Linda was Director, Consulting, at CGI Technologies and Solutions (1992-2006); Associate Director of Financial Services at University of Miami (1989-1992); and Associate Director of Financial Aid at University of Toledo (1984-1989).

Linda has been a member of IMC NCR since 2006 and served on the IMC NCR Election Committee in 2011 and 2013.  She served on the Board of her local community association, where she was the Chair of the By-Laws Committee. Before arriving in the DC area, she was elected to various roles on the Board of the National Association of SAM Users (NASU), including Secretary and President.

Linda is currently a member of the International Association of Facilitators (IAF), the Project Management Institute (PMI), the Institute of Management Consultants (IMC), and the Chesapeake Bay Organization Development Network (CBODN). She earned a BS degree in Psychology and a MA in Student Affairs Administration from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.

Linda believes that the Institute of Management Consultants offers a valuable service to management consultants.  The National Capital Region chapter must continue to provide services and programs of value to local management consultants and increase the effectiveness of its outreach if it is to sustain its objective of promoting excellence and ethics in the management consulting profession.  Strong leadership that is attentive to the needs and interests of its members, as well as our "not yet” members, is also critical to remain a leading chapter of IMC. Linda brings collaborative management skills and past experience with each of the required duties to her candidacy for Secretary of IMC NCR.
