Brenda is an active CARF Admin and Program surveyor in the areas of Behavioral Health (BH) and Child and Youth Services (CYS). She has been a manager in mental health organizations accredited by CARF and TJC (formerly JCAHO) offering all levels of care (outpatient to inpatient). Brenda is a Collaborative Investigator for the DSM-5 Field Trials in Routine Clinical Practice (RPC) and was a Research Associate at the Institute of Medicine (National Academy of Sciences) in Washington, D.C. She has been a clinician for 30 years and is an EMDR Level II therapist. In addition, Brenda has 18 years experience as Adjunct Faculty at two local colleges and has published several articles and reports. She is an active member of the Justice Behavioral Health Committee (JBHC) and EMDRIA Membership Committee as well as the Board of Directors for Nebraska NAADAC. Brenda is a military veteran who served on active duty in the U.S. Navy, stationed in the Pentagon.
