Letter to IMC USA Members from Charles Everett

Dear Colleague:

I am writing to request your assistance with a valuable program, the Occupational Information Network (O*NET).  The O*NET program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor, is gathering occupational information for a national database that is being used by millions of employers, workers, educators, and students across the country. This database provides information about skills, abilities, activities, and work context for about 1,000 occupations nationwide.

We have been invited as occupational experts to provide input into this process to update the occupational title for management analysts, which in their description includes management consultants. This is an opportunity for members of IMC USA to have key input into the occupational description, tasks, knowledge areas, work context factors, and work activities.

As a questionnaire respondent your input will be valuable in shaping the occupational description for management analysts/consultants. Our participation in this process can positively influence the profession and provide exposure for the Institute.
