Over the past few months, every business has been disrupted. While a few are feasting, many are fighting famine. The fates of Polaroid, Kodak, Blockbuster and other fallen giants can teach us a lot if we only apply the benefit of hindsight.
In this interactive session, Graham offers supportive evidence and advice to help us consultants leverage principles of disruption as a tool to survive the current health and economic crisis and emerge ever stronger. Aided by real-world examples, he will walk us through quizzes and exercises so we might recognize opportunities that exploit disruption rather than fall pretty to it. Adjust your response and navigate a course to success! By session’s end, you’ll be equipped to apply its lessons to your business immediately.
Graham Binks is a global expert in improving business performance with technology who has helped dozens of businesses anticipate and optimize the future.
In 30 years of tech leadership, he’s worked in Europe, North America and Asia with Nike, P&G, Citigroup, JP Morgan, Eurotunnel, Disney, GM and 250 other large, medium and small businesses. His work integrates business and technology strategy and drives successful implementation through CEO advisory and team coaching to help organizations dramatically improve their business with technology.
Graham grew up in the UK and lives now in Toronto, Ontario with his family. He travels widely for both business and pleasure, and holds an MSc from the University of Manchester.
His new book Trusting Technology shows readers how to adapt to new ways of life and work. Technology, he explains, merely provides the platform.
‘When we talk about the challenges of technology, we’re really talking about the challenges of improvement,” he says, “and the ways we change and the lessons we learn on our path to making things better. The challenge—and the opportunity—is that technology offers us so many options that it’s bemusing! We need to be asking what areas of our business do we focus on? And how can we make them better?’
Trusting Technology is available from Amazon, BARNES&NOBLE and leading book stores everywhere.
