Atlas Charles (he/they) works with nonprofits, place-based collaboratives, and social enterprises on organizational health and impact: strategic planning, organizational design, and facilitation that turns a confusing situation into a shared plan people can actually act on. Atlas also works one-on-one with leaders—founders, CEOs, and executive directors—who are leading without enough support in their corner, serving as a thought and coaching partner who tells them the truth about their situation instead of what they want to hear and helps them figure out the path forward. Atlas has done this work inside nonprofits, businesses, social enterprises, and place-based collaboratives—the same problems show up in all of them: a strategy nobody trusts, a structure that fights against the mission, a team that can't agree on what's actually happening. Atlas' approach comes out of nearly 15 years running organizations, as an Executive Director, CEO, Principal, Partner, and Owner/Operator as well as 9+ years of experience consulting to management in high-impact organizations. Atlas knows what it costs to inherit a broken system and have to fix it while still running it; he now brings that experience to every consulting engagement.
