Dan Brewer

An independent technology consultant since 2023 Dan helps business leaders optimize technology to improve customer experience, increase growth, and improve efficiency.  One common way he does this is guiding a business through researching and selecting a new technology solution such as a Customer Relationship Management system (CRM).

He also works as a fractional CTO/CIO in small to mid-sized businesses that need short term technology expertise to make a key technology decision or to develop a technology plan that supports the business strategy. 

Dan spent over 20 years in enterprise software development: delivering customer value through technology solutions in health care services and health insurance administration at Humana, Inc.  In 2011 he shifted to consulting when he was asked to create an internal consulting practice within Humana to bridge the gap between business leaders and technology.  This stage of his journey led him to the Institute of Management Consultants because he believes the CMC® demonstrates a serious commitment to the profession of management consulting. 

Dan is married to his best friend, Cathy, and they live on a small farm outside Louisville, Kentucky.  After raising three children, Dan and Cathy are enjoying the freedom of a new stage of family life.  Dan’s passions are travel, snow skiing, and giving back to the community.
