The Consulting Ethics Situation
Tia, a former colleague, has reached out giving you a heads up that she wants you to bid on her company’s project. She’s asked for your input in writing the consultant qualifications portion of the RFP in a way that ensures you are one of a very few, if not the only, bidders who will qualify.

I have had opportunities to provide drafts of requirements for clients who are issuing RFPs. In this case, i would honestly answer what I know are the qualifications for the job and include that candidates should adhere to professional and ethical practices and behavior in their consulting practice. I probably would not say that my certification – Certified Management Consultant® (CMC®) – is required, but I would include the qualities, knowledge and ethical behaviors that CMCs are expected to embody.
