As I conclude my term as Chair of IMC USA, I find myself reflecting not only on what we have accomplished together, but also on the momentum we have built for the future. Leadership in organizations is temporary; stewardship is lasting. And what we have stewarded together over these past two years is nothing short of transformational.
Strengthening the Foundation for the Future
We strengthened the foundation of the Institute at a time when stability was essential. Through disciplined governance, clearer operating models, and renewed alignment with the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes, we ensured that IMC USA is not just sustainable but positioned for long‑term vitality. Our successful High Trust Recertification affirmed what many of us already knew: this Institute operates with integrity, rigor, and a deep commitment to the profession.
Renewing Growth and Engagement
We also reignited the spirit of growth. Membership is on the rise, fueled by a more welcoming onboarding experience, revitalized emphasis on Communities of Interest, and a renewed focus on emerging consultants and student engagement. We have begun reconnecting with the next generation of professionals who will carry the CMC® standard forward for decades to come. This work must continue, and I am confident it will.
The Strength of Our Consulting Community
Perhaps most importantly, we rediscovered our identity as a diverse network of management consulting professionals. Consultants often work independently, but we thrive collectively. Over the past year, I have seen members step forward to volunteer, mentor, teach, and lead in ways that reflect the very best of our profession. The strength of IMC USA has always been its people, and that remains true today.
Passing the Torch with Confidence
As I pass the gavel to new leadership, I do so with optimism. The opportunities ahead are real: deepening our value to members, strengthening our brand, expanding our Communities of Interest, and continuing to grow a vibrant pipeline of future CMCs. The work is not finished—but it is well underway.

Thank you for your trust, your partnership, and your commitment to excellence. Serving as your Chair has been one of the great honors of my professional life. I look forward to supporting IMC USA in new ways as we continue building a stronger, more connected, and more future‑ready consulting community.
